I know.. it’s been about a month since I last posted anything! I’ve been super busy with my sister’s engagement party and other events that I didn’t have the time or energy to do a post. But hopefully I can get into the swing of things again! Anyways, on to the post.
Last Sunday was my older sister’s engagement party and here is what I wore:
*Awkward Pose 1* LOL*Awkward Pose 2* hehe
Dress: Forever 21 Ditsy Lace Fit & Flare Price: $29.80
— I bought mine at the store and it didn’t come with a belt 😦 I wanted to wear a belt but didn’t have one that matched the outfit.
Shoes: Windsor Nude Mary Jane Bow Pump Price: $24.90
— beware these shoes are extremely arched! I had trouble walking in them (and I am not a novice to heels) but they were so cute I had to have them for the price! I also knew we would be sitting down, eating most of the time 😀
Love the bows!
Earrings: Windsor Gold/Pearl Bow Earrings Price: $8.90
Pearl bow earrings 😀
Bracelet: Ann Taylor Pearl Chain Bracelet Price: around $1.50 on clearance
Note: the link to the bracelet is an ebay seller I found just so you can see more pictures of it. I don’t recommend buying it for that price! You can find alternatives that are way cheaper 😀
My makeup was simple:
-Make Up For Ever HD Primer
-MAC Face & Body Foundation in C4
– MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC35
– MAC Prep & Prime Loose Powder
– NYX cream blushes in mainly Orange & a bit of Natural
– Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray
– Wet ‘n’ Wild Brulee all over the lid up to the brow bone (creamy color)
– NYC Sunny bronzer in the crease with Hakuhodo brush J5523 which is the softest brush I’ve ever used! (MAC 217 Dupe)
– Wet ‘n’ Wild Bronze Eyeliner smudged along the lash line with Royal & Langnickel Silk synthetic smudger.
– Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night mascara
– Rimmel Scandaleyes Nude eyeliner
– LipFusion Lip plumper in clear
— basically chapstick lol I didn’t want lipstick or lip gloss because it was going to be a lunch/dinner and I didn’t want to be reapplying anything.
For my makeup I was in a rush because we had a rough week making last minute preparations and favors etc. so, I didn’t get up early enough. I wish I had done something different with my eyes as it creased by the end of the party and I got oily from the weather being so hot that day.
For my hair I used my Infiniti Pro by Conair Spin Air Rotating Styler. This hair dryer is AMAZING. If you blow dry your hair using a round brush I highly recommend this as it will cut your styling time in half! The only downside is you really have to wait for your hair to be more than 70% dry if not it is difficult to use. Other than that it is awesome! I originally bought one for my older sister for her birthday and I loved it so much I bought one for myself. I also gave one to my mother for Mother’s Day this year!
I also have my younger sister‘s OOTD to show you! 😀
So pretty! She should be a model 😀
Dress: Forever 21 Sequined High Low Price: $34.80
Shoes: Traffic Pink Wedges Price $25.00
— couldn’t find them on the website
Wristlet: Windsor Gold Skull Wristlet Price: $7.50 on clearance half off originally $15
— can’t say enough about how much I love this wristlet!!
Gold Skull Wristlet
Earrings: Wet Seal Chandelier Pink Feather Earrings Price: $1.20 on clearance
Chandelier Feather earrings
Necklace: Sears 1928 Porcelain Rose Simulated Pearl Cluster Drop Price: $10.80 on clearance
1928 Rose Pearl Cluster necklace
Bracelets: mix Wet Seal Bangle Set and Charlotte Russe Bangle set Price: about $8.00 each
Rose, pearl, gold bangles/bracelets
For her makeup I just used the Make Up Forever HD primer, yellow concealer from the Kirkland Borghese concealer wheel where needed, black shadow along the lash line and mascara. We were going to wave the ends of her hair but didn’t have enough time so she just left it down which still looked nice. 😀
Well that’s it for today! Make sure to leave any questions you have in the comment section, I’ll def get back to you!
